I am a Sri Lankan field researcher primarily studying Odonata diversity, ecology, biogeography and conservation. Currently working on several research projects on taxonomy, phylogeny and biogeography of Sri Lankan Odonata. I am also interested in arthropods, birds and other macro fauna.
I contribute to the national conservation movement as an expert on odonates, butterflies and birds in the National Red List of Sri Lanka and other national level projects, as an active member of several nonprofit conservation oriented organizations and as a researcher. I am currently pursuing my PhD at University of Colombo. As a professional, I am a freelance Field Ecologist and a consultant in biodiversity surveys and environmental assessments. |
